It read: “Tess Monteith sends her apologies but is unable to attend the WOSL on 24 Apr 15 as she and her elder daughter are ‘taking difficult decisions’ cycling from Shanghai to Venice at the time.”
We were so interested in what she was up to we had a look and got permission to use a couple of her photos here. At present Tess and Francesca are in China and have just left the Middle Kingdom with the Great Wall of China behind them.
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) is a charity we have encountered before. This is the air ambulance which aims to cover 90% of Scotland’s population within 25 minutes from its base at Perth Airport.
They fly to time-critical emergencies across the country and are totally reliant on donations from their supporters. One of the charity’s major supporters is electricity giant, SSE.
This is a photo of Tess and her daughter when they reached Xi’an. You can follow Tess on her blog here www.silkroutecycle.tumblr.com and she has a fundraising page here where you can see that they are halfway to their fundraising target of £5,000.
